- Is laser hair removal permanent?
- Laser is FDA-cleared for permanent hair reduction — the official regulatory term. In practice, treated hairs are dramatically and lastingly reduced; the "reduction" wording recognizes that laser is less effective on hair the device cannot see well (blonde, gray, red), not that results are temporary on hair it does treat. Hormonally driven areas may benefit from occasional maintenance sessions.
- Does it work on darker skin tones?
- Yes. The GentleMax Pro pairs an Nd:YAG wavelength that safely treats darker skin (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) with an Alexandrite wavelength for lighter skin, so we tailor treatment to your skin type.
- Can I get treated in the summer?
- Yes, with care. Avoid sun exposure and tanning before and after sessions, and use sunscreen on treated areas. We’ll plan timing around your sun exposure at your consultation.
